PART 3: Community Work Days
The Town of Ithaca provides no labor or upkeep to our Garden beyond providing compost and tools. We are
responsible for mowing, covering unused plots, maintaining the fence, and all other Garden upkeep. Therefore,
all gardeners are required to work a minimum of 2 hours each month during Community Work Days. You
may be asked to contribute to other garden tasks outside of the Community Work Days. There are jobs for all
Gardeners regardless of your skills or physical ability.
Community work days will be posted at the Garden beginning mid-April.
PART4: Rules and Code of Conduct

4. This is an organic garden. I agree to use only organic pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, and fungicides.
5. The Garden community does not tolerate verbal or physical behavior that is aggressive, intimidating,
threatening, harassing, or violent in any way. The penalty for such behavior may include immediate loss

longer (e.g., due to illness, injury, or vacation) I will notify the Garden Council as soon as possible or risk
losing my plot.

as these may become available to new gardeners in subsequent years and perennials will be lost.
11. I must plant only on my plot(s). If plantings encroach into neighboring plot(s) or pathways, the gardener
