HomeMy WebLinkAboutLL 5 of 2025 Amending Vehicles and Traffic Chpt 250 No Parking on Updike RoadTOWN OF ITHACA LOCAL LAW NO.5 OF THE YEAR 2025 A Local Law Amending Chapter 250 of the Town of Ithaca Code,Titled “Vehicles and Traffic,”to Prohibit Parking on the West Side of Updike Road Beginning 1,920 feet South of its Intersection with Coddington Road and Proceeding Southwest to the Town of Ithaca/Town of Danby Municipal Border Be it enacted by the Town Board of the Town of Ithaca as follows: Section 1.Pursuant to Section 130 of the Town Law of the State of New York,and Section 1660 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the State of New York,Chapter 250 (Vehicles and Traffic)of the Town of Ithaca Code,Section 250-16,titled “Parking of vehicles”,Subparagraph A,is hereby amended by adding new subdivision 31 reading as follows: “(31)On the west side of Updike Road,beginning 1,920 feet south of its intersection with Coddington Road and proceeding southwest along Updike Road to the Town of Ithaca/Town of Danby municipal border (the measurement is along the center line of Updike Road).” Section 2.In the event that any portion of this law is declared invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction,the validity of the remaining portions shall not be affected by such declaration of invalidity. Section 3.This local law shall take effect upon its filing with the New York Secretary of State.
