Enclosed is an application for a new Operating Permit. Please complete and return along with the fee at your earliest convenience, but no later than April 20, 2014. The successful completion of a Fire Safety Inspection is required before an Operating Permit can be renewed. The last Fire Safety Inspection was completed on March 29, 2011. Town staff or the Ithaca Fire Department will schedule the Fire Safety Inspection with you directly after we have received the application and fee for the Operating Permit. The State of NY Rules and Regulations allow the Town of Ithaca to charge two separate fees; one for Fire Safety Inspections and a fee for an Operating Permit. The Fire Safety Inspection rate is $50.00 for the first hour (1 hour minimum), $30 per additional hour.
