TOPICS OF DISCUSSION
Spruce Wary --Frozen Water Line-- During the recent sub-Jzero
w6ather, residents living on the recently accepted town
road of Spruce I -lay were without water because of frozen
water lines. Due to the urgency of the situation the Bill
Aable Construction Company under Supervision of Bill O'Boyle
was asked to dig in and locate the difficulty. The line was
found to be frozen where it crossed beneath the highway
due to inadequate depth coverage. Thi: brought up the
question of responsibility of payment for the work involved.

It appeared to be the consensus of the Board that the contractor
should be held liable for this expense inasmuch as the line
was not laid the necessary depth.
Town Engineer-- More than ever before it now is the contention
of the Board that a Town Engineer is much in need to keen in
contact with the rapid development which is now taking place
in the Town and that construction specifications and acceptable
practices are adhered to, to aid in the elimination of any
malconstruction which might prove to be detrimental to the
Town in the future. The Board members were asked to recommend
TM eligible candidates for this position and report at the next
meeting.
The meeting adjourned at 6:45 P.M.
