Town Planner's Reoort for April 10, 1995 Town Board Meeting
DEVELOPMENT REVIEW
Planning staff has been working on the following projects under Planning Board
review jurisdiction:
First Residents Group at EcoVillage, Mecklenburg Road
The First Residents' Group appeared before the Planning Board at the April
4th, 1995 meeting for a Public Hearing on preliminary subdivision and site
plan approval. The Board granted preliminary subdivision approval and
tabled a decision on preliminary site plan approval until the April 18th
meeting, pending discussion of additional items needed or conditions that
would have to be incorporated into preliminary site plan approval.
Candlelight Park Subdivision, Mecklenburg Road
Sketch plan for approximately 150 lots was considered by Planning Board at
4/4/95 meeting. Lots are proposed as conventional subdivision. Cluster may
be recommended by Planning board. Issues include park and open space,
wetlands, :stream corridors, roads, access, traffic and public transit. A site visit
is being set up for Board members.
Leonardo Subdivision, Danby Road
Resubdivis:ion to modify previously approved lots received preliminary
approval at: 4/4/95 Planning Board meeting. Involves realignment of Sesame
Street (existing Town road) and Allison Street (proposed Town road). Also
sketch plan for future development of remaining land of Clara Leonardo
adjoining Buttermilk Falls State Park was discussed.
Classen Home Health Assoc., Trumansburg Road
Site plan approval (preliminary and final) was granted at 3/21/95 Planning
Board meeting for use of former doctoes office in residential zone as
administrative offices. Also included recommendation for sign variance to
ZBA.
Big Al's Hilltop Qi-ikstop, Danby Road
Recommendation on sign variances was approved by Planning Board at
3/21/95 meeting. Also discussed sketch plan for additional parking and other
