Dear Mr. Gordon:
Upon receiving the Town and County Tax Notice showing the consolidated
tax rate of $3.9^ conrprised of $3.00 for the Willow Point Water District
and $.9^ for the fire protection for the Village Sewer Plant located on
East Shore Drive I consulted with Assessor Ben Boynton and Attorney C.
H. Newman. As I understand it the fire protection applied ^en this
property was located outside of the Village limits. Since January 1959
this property has been annexed to the Village and therefore, according
to Fire Chief Francis Quinla^^, is serviced by the Cayuga Heights Fire
Company. Therefore I assume that this fire protection rate of $.9^
should be deleted from our tax bill.
I would appreciate it if you would bring this to the attention of the
Town Board and notify me as soon as possible of their decision, so that
paymen'^tii the proper amount may be made by the Village before January
31st, 1959.
