1. Consider approval of the Town of Ithaca Abstract
TB Resolution 2026 - 032: Town of Ithaca Abstract No. 10 for FY-2026
Resolved that the Town Board authorizes the payment of the audited vouchers in total for the
amounts indicated:
VOUCHER NOS. 2026 457 - 502
General Fund Town Wide 20,455.69
General Fund Part-Town 7,734.55
Highway Fund Town Wide DA 1,426.54
Highway Fund Part Town DB 16,569.27
Water Fund 169,577.28

2. Consider approval of Town Facilities Cleaning Contract
TB Resolution 2026-033: Authorization to Award Commercial Cleaning Contract for Town
Hall and Public Works Facility to Castle Service of Ithaca, NY
Whereas, the Town’s Municipal Facility Cleaning Services contract expired on December 31,
2025 and was put to bid; and
Whereas, 6 bids received and it was determined that Cleantec was the low bidder responsible and
responsive bid and the contract was awarded; and
Whereas, after working with CleanTec for several months it was found that there was poor
workmanship and after several meetings with CleanTec about their workmanship it was

determined by Town management that CleanTec was not a good long-term fit and the required
30-day notice of termination was given, and
Whereas, the Director of Public Works communicated with Castle Services of Ithaca, LLC, the
next lowest bidder on the above referenced bid to determine if they were interested in contracting
for services as stated in the Bid documents; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, the Town Board authorizes the Town Supervisor to sign the Municipal Facilities
Cleaning Services contract with Castle Services of Ithaca, LLC effective June 7, 2026, through
December 31, 2029.

3. Consider approval of a Sewer Exemption – 1439 Trumansburg Rd
TB Resolution 2026 - 034: Approval and authorization for a Sewer Exemption at 1439
Trumansburg Rd
Whereas the Town Engineer received a request dated May 9, 2026, from Clayton and Heather
Lemons, owners of 1439 Trumansburg Road, Tax Parcel 23.-1-41.2, for a Sewer Exemption, and
Whereas the owners are replacing an existing septic system for a single-family home that has
failed on the property, and
Whereas the closest sewer main is approximately 900’ feet away at an estimated cost to connect
of $200,000, now, therefore be it
Resolved, that pursuant to Town Code Section 214-6, the Town Board finds the applicant has
shown unusual and the extreme practical difficulties in connecting to municipal sewer for the
reasons stated above, and authorizes the Town Engineer to issue a Sewer Exemption for 1439
Trumansburg Rd, for the installation of a new, onsite wastewater treatment system associated
with the existing single-family residence, subject to the consent of the Tompkins County Health
Department.
