TB Resolution 2022–081: Adoption of Local Law 11 of 2022, entitled “A Local Law Authorizing the Town’s Public Bodies to use Videoconferencing Technology to Participate in Public Meetings
Whereas New York State’s Governor Hotchul signed Chapter 56 of the Laws of 2022, including an amendment to the Open Meetings Law to make permanent through July 1, 2024, the expanded
use of videoconferencing by public bodies to conduct open meetings, under extraordinary circumstances, regardless of the declaration of an emergency, under certain guidelines, and
Whereas the Personnel and Organization Committee discussed, drafted and moved forward a Videoconferencing Public Body Meeting Participation Policy and associated local law to the Town
Board for action, now therefore be it
Resolved that the Town Board hereby adopts Local Law 11 of 2022, entitled “A Local Law Authorizing the Town’s Public Bodies to use Videoconferencing Technology to Participate in Public
Meetings” as submitted.
