HomeMy WebLinkAboutTB 2022-099 Noise permit for Ithaca Beer June 18 and switch dateMEETING OF THE ITHACA TOWN BOARD Monday, June 13, 2022 TB Resolution 2022- 099: Approval of Noise Permit Application for Ithaca Beer June 18th event Whereas the Town received a request for a noise permit for an event on June 18, from Noon – 2pm associated with the Bikes and Beers national program, and Whereas Mr. Mitchell was not aware music was a part of the package for the event until June 6th and notified the Town to request a permit, and Whereas Mr. Mitchell also noted an error in the previous application regarding the Annual Hoptoberfest, which was listed as October 8th and is on October 15th, and Whereas the Town Board waives the requirement of a public hearing for the change in date, given that the change is months in advance and was listed in error, and Whereas the Town Board held a properly advertised public hearing for the event on June 18, 2022 and included the notification of the change in date for October in the neighborhood notice, now therefore be it Resolved that the Town Board waives the need for an application on these changes/permit due to the extenuating circumstances of a typographical error occurring on a previously approved permit application and permit and the event coordinator not informing Ithaca Beer that music was a standard part of the Bikes and Beers program, and be it further Resolved that the Town Board grants the appeal of Ithaca Beer, Dan Mitchell for a noise permit on June 18, 2022, between 12 Noon and 2p.m., and be it further Resolved that the Town Board grants an amendment to the existing Noise Permit for Special Events for the Hoptoberfest change in date from October 8th to October 15th, with the following: Conditions All conditions stated in the original permit remain, and Hay bales or similar sound buffer, shall be placed for the June 18th event, and with the following Findings All Findings remain the same as stated in the original permit.
