HomeMy WebLinkAboutTB 2022-162 Award and authorization to sign Part B of the Public Works Fueling Station Project_MEETING OF THE ITHACA TOWN BOARD October 17, 2022 TB Resolution 2022 -162: Authorization for the Town Supervisor to sign a contract with Barton & Loguidice for the Final Design and Bid Phase Services associated with the Public Works Facility Fueling Station Design Project Whereas, the Town Board was presented with four conceptual design locations, above ground and buried tank options, tank size recommendations, and probable cost estimates for the Public Works Facility Fueling Station Design Project and has chosen to procced with an8,000 gallon buried tank at Location 4; and This is an Unlisted Action for which the Town of Ithaca Town Board, acting in an uncoordinated environmental review with respect to the project, has on October 17, 2022, made a negative determination of environmental significance, after having reviewed and accepted as adequate a Short Environmental Assessment Form Part 1, submitted by the applicant, and Parts 2 and 3 prepared by the Town Planning Department staff; and Whereas,the Town Board awarded Part A of the Town of Ithaca Public Works Facility Fueling Station Design Project proposal to Barton and Loguidice, D.P.C (B&L) by TB Resolution 2022-084 and authorized a modified fee and scope of work for Part A services in TB Resolution 2022-138; and Whereas,the Town Board has determined it is appropriate to proceed with Part B of the proposal to obtain final design drawings, specifications, associated permits, and bid documents for the project; and Whereas, Barton & Loguidice has submitted a revised proposal for said Part B services, dated October 11, 2022, for a fixed fee of $36,500 and a lump sum fee of $10,000; and Whereas, the Town Engineer has reviewed the proposal and recommends it to the Town Board, now therefore be it Resolved,that the Town Board authorizes the award and execution by the Supervisor of a contract for Part B of the Project to Barton and Loguidice, D.P.C, 443 Electronics Parkway, Liverpool, NY 13088, subject to approval of the contract documents by the Director of Engineeringand Attorney for the Town, and be it further Resolved that the Director of Engineering is authorized to approve contract amendments, without further authorization from thisBoard, provided the maximum amount of such amendments does not exceed $5,000 in aggregate.
