Hotchul has passed legislation adding a One-day marriage officiant license process to the Laws of NYS, Article 3, Section 11-D, now therefore be it Resolved that the Town Board approves the fee of $25 for the One-Day Marriage Officiant License to be processed and collected by the Town Clerk’s Office. TB Resolution 2023 – 064d- Acknowledgement of Provisional Promotional Appointment of Administrative Assistant IV -PWD Whereas, there will be a vacancy in the position of Administrative Assistant IV due to a retirement on May 30, 2023; and Whereas, the Highway Superintendent with a selection committee has determined through interviews and evaluation that Becky Jordan, Deputy Town Clerk, possess the necessary knowledge, skills and ability to perform the duties of Administrative Assistant IV; and Whereas, the Highway Superintendent has chosen to promotionally appoint Becky Jordan to the Administrative Assistant IV position, effective May 21, 2023; now, therefore, be it Resolved, the Town Board of the Town of Ithaca does hereby acknowledge the Highway Superintendent’s promotional provisional non-competitive appointment of Becky Jordan to the Administrative Assistant IV position, effective May 21, 2023; and be it further Resolved, this is a 40 hours a week position, at the hourly wage of $31.70, which is an estimated annual salary of $65,936, in Job Classification “D” step 1, with no change to full time benefits; and be it further Resolved, if the said successfully complete the non-competitive promotional civil service exam and the mandatory twenty-six (26) week probationary period there will be no further action required by the Town Board. TB Resolution No. 2023 – 064e: Approve Provisional Appointment of Administrative Assistant II -Codes Whereas there is a vacancy in the Administrative Assistant II position for the Code Enforcement Department due to a promotion; and Whereas the Interview Committee interviewed six candidates from an open recruitment for the position; and Whereas the Committee has determined that Emily Banwell possess the necessary knowledge and skills to satisfactorily perform the duties of the position; and Whereas Marty Moseley, Director of Code Enforcement, appointed Emily Banwell as Administrative Assistant II, effective April 3, 2023; now, therefore be it Resolved the Town Board of the Town of Ithaca does hereby approve the provisional appointment of Emily Banwell as Administrative Assistant II for the Code Enforcement Department, effective April 3, 2023; and be it further Resolved the position is at 37.5 hours per week, at the hourly wage of $27.15, which is an estimated annual salary of $52,942 from B8010.100, in Job Classification “B”, with full time benefits; and be it further Resolved, the said appointment is a provisional appointment pending the results from the next civil service exam for this position. TB Resolution 2023– 064f:Ratification of Town Clerk’s Appointment of Deputy Town Clerk Whereas, there is presently a vacancy in the position of Deputy Town Clerk in the Town Clerk Department; and Whereas, the Interview Committee that consisted of Paulette Rosa, Town Clerk and Judy Drake, Human Resources Manager interviewed two candidates from the open recruitment; and Whereas, the Committee has determined that Ashley Colbert possesses the necessary knowledge and skills to satisfactorily perform the duties of the position and make the recommendation for appointment; now, therefore be it Whereas, Paulette Rosa, Town Clerk, appointed Emily Colbert to the regular Deputy Town Clerk position, effective April 10, 2023, now, therefore, be it Resolved, the Town Board of the Town of Ithaca does hereby acknowledge the appointment made by the Town Clerk, of Emily Colbert as a Deputy Town Clerk, effective, April 10, 2023; and be it further Resolved, the said position is in job classification “B” at 37.5 hours a week, at the hourly wage of $27.15 (hire rate), estimated annual wage of $52, 942, with full time benefits from account A1410.100; and be it further Resolved, a twenty-six (26) week probationary period applies with no further action by the Town Board if there is successful completion of the probationary period as determined by the Town Clerk.
