Voucher Numbers: 116-168 Check Numbers:20834-20886 Capital Impr/Repl Project$ 7,981.98 Operating Fund $ 133,078.93TOTAL$ 141,060.91 Less Prepaid$ - 21,167.20TOTAL$ 119,893.71 TB Resolution 2023 - 070: Appointments of the Agriculture Committee Chair and Vice-Chair for 2022 Resolved, that the Town Board appoints Matthew Stalker (A.J. Teeter Farm)as Chair and Christianne White (Steep Hollow Farm) as Vice-Chair for the Agriculture Committee for the year 2023. TB Resolution No. 2023 – 070: Approve Provisional Appointment of Civil Engineer Whereas the Town Board created an additional Civil Engineer position to be split between the Public Works and the Engineering Department; and Whereas the Interview Committee interviewed seven candidates from an open recruitment for the position; and Whereas the Committee has determined that Samantha Jilson possess the necessary knowledge and skills to satisfactorily perform the duties of the position; and Whereas Dan Thaete, Director of Engineering, in coordination with Joe Slater, Director of Public Works, appointed Samantha Jilson as Civil Engineer, effective April 17, 2023; now, therefore be it Resolved the Town Board of the Town of Ithaca does hereby approve the provisional appointment of Samantha Jilson as Civil Engineer for the Engineering Department, effective April 17, 2023; and be it further Resolved the position is at 40 hours per week, at the hourly wage of $34.81, which is an estimated annual salary of $72,405 from A1440.100 and A5010.100, in Job Classification “E”, with full time benefits; and be it further Resolved, the said appointment is a provisional appointment pending the results from the next civil service exam for this position. TB Resolution No. 2023 – 070: Approve Provisional Appointment of Engineering Technician I Whereas there is a vacancy in the Engineering Technician I position for the Engineering Department; and Whereas the Interview Committee interviewed nine candidates from an open recruitment for the position; and Whereas the Committee has determined that Connor Crandall possess the necessary knowledge and skills to satisfactorily perform the duties of the position; and Whereas Dan Thaete, Director of Engineering, appointed Connor Crandall as Engineering Technician I, effective April 10, 2023; now, therefore be it Resolved the Town Board of the Town of Ithaca does hereby approve the provisional appointment of Connor Crandall as Engineering Technician I for the Engineering Department, effective April 10, 2023; and be it further Resolved the position is at 40 hours per week, at the hourly wage of $30.12, which is an estimated annual salary of $62,649 from G8120.101, in Job Classification “IV”, with full time benefits; and be it further Resolved, the said appointment is a provisional appointment pending the results from the next civil service exam for this position. TB Resolution No. 2023 – 070: Approve Provisional Appointment of Sustainability Planner Whereas there is a vacancy in the position of Sustainability Planner; and Whereas the Interview Committee interviewed six candidates from an open recruitment for the position; and Whereas the Committee has determined that Hilary Swartwood possess the necessary knowledge and skills to satisfactorily perform the duties of the position; and Whereas C.J. Randall, Director of Planning, appointed Hilary Swartwood as Sustainability Planner, effective April 10, 2023; now, therefore be it Resolved the Town Board of the Town of Ithaca does hereby approve the provisional appointment of Hilary Swartwood as Sustainability Planner for the Planning Department, effective April 10, 2023; and be it further Resolved the position is at 37.5 hours per week, at the hourly wage of $34.81, which is an estimated annual salary of $67,879 from A18020.120, in Job Classification “E”, with full time benefits; and be it further Resolved, the said appointment is a provisional appointment pending the results from the next civil service exam for this position.
