HomeMy WebLinkAboutTB 2024-014 Award Coddington Troy Backup Generator ProjectMEETING OF THE ITHACA TOWN BOARD January 22, 2024 TB Resolution 2024 -014: Authorization to award and execute contract for the Town of Ithaca Coddington/Troy Road Pump Station Backup Generator Project Whereas on January 12, 2024, the Town of Ithaca Director of Engineering (Director) received bids for the Town of Ithaca Coddington/Troy Road Pump Station Backup Generator Project (Improvement), for the installation of two (2) backup generators (one next to an existing Town of Ithaca water pump station at 514 Coddington Road, and one next to an existing Town of Ithaca water pump station at 156 Troy Road) and associated automatic transfer switches as well as other ancillary and incidental improvements and expenses in connection therewith, and Whereas the Director has reviewed the bids and qualifications of the bidders and has determined that the lowest responsive bid of $108,000.00 for the project was made by the lowest responsive bidder, Vacri Construction Corporation, One Brick Avenue, Binghamton, NY 13901 and Whereas at their meeting on November 28, 2022, the Town Board adopted a Public Interest Order (TB 2022-176) establishing the Improvement and authorizing a maximum amount of $250,000.00 to be expended on this Improvement, now therefore be it Resolved that the Town Board authorizes the Town Supervisor to award and execute the contract for the Town of Ithaca Coddington/Troy Road Pump Station Backup Generator project to Vacri Construction Corporation, subject to final approval by the Director and review by the Attorney for the Town, and be it further Resolved that the Director is authorized to approve change orders to the contract, without further authorization of this Board, provided that the maximum amount of such change orders does not exceed $22,000.00 in aggregate and the total project cost, including the contract, engineering, legal and other expenses, does not exceed the maximum authorized cost of the project of $250,000.00 Moved: Rich DePaolo Seconded: Rod Howe Vote: ayes- Howe, DePaolo, Bleiwas, Levine, Johnson, Gutenberger & Rosen
