TB Resolution 2024 -034:Approval of a contract amendment for Professional Services associated with the Mechanical, Electrical, & Plumbing and Structural Detailed Construction Drawing(s)
Preparation for the Public Works Facility Project (MEP Project)
Whereas, the Town Board awarded the MEP Project to C&S Engineers, Inc. (C&S)to create detailed construction drawings, specifications, and construction contract documents for the replacement
and/or improvement of various MEP components andrepair of a damaged concrete garage floor slab at the Town’s Public Works Facilityfor a lump sum fee of One Hundred and Sixteen Thousand
One Hundred Seventy Dollars and Thirty Three Cents ($116,170.33)with a contingency amount of $5,000; and
Whereas, C&S has identified areas of the garage that require additional review and analysis that is not specified in the Project’s contract; and
Whereas, C&S has provided an “Engineering Change Proposal – 001” dated March 6, 2024 (Proposal) to incorporate mechanical design and structural review of these areas into the design
documents for a lump sum fee of Twenty Seven Thousand Three Hundred Thirteen Dollars ($27,313.00); and
Whereas,the Director of Engineering(Director) has reviewed the Proposal, and recommends its approval by the Town Board; and
Whereas, the Director also requests an additional Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) for the Project’s contingency fund, for a total of Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($15,000.00); nowtherefore
be it
Resolved,that the Town Board approves execution of the Engineering Change Proposal contract amendment modifying the project scope and the request to increase the associated contingency
fund as described, for a revised contract amount, including contingency not to exceed One Hundred Fifty Eight Thousand Four Hundred Eighty Three Dollars and Thirty Three Cents ($158,483.33),
subject to approval of the contract documents by the Director and review by the Attorney for the Town.
