TB Resolution 2024 - 059: Authorization to Award Contract for 2024 Townwide Lighting Analysis/Engineering Services
Whereas, the Town of Ithaca adopted a new lighting policy to mitigate the public’s request(s) to add, modify, or remove street lighting throughout the town; and
Whereas, the ability to review photometric distributions in particular circumstances and locations requires special expertise and software to accurately design and or modify street lighting
to meet current standards; and
Whereas, the Town will need assistance from specialized Professional Engineer to perform the required tasks; and
Whereas the Town requested proposals for Professional Engineering services to perform various photometric services throughout the fiscal year 2024 from three (3) firms; and
Whereas, the Director reviewed the proposals and qualifications received and recommends award of a contract to Cabezas Engineering, PLLC, 5510 County Road 14, Alpine, NY; now therefore
be it
Resolved, that the Town Board hereby authorizes the award of the contract for the 2024 Town of Ithaca Townwide Lighting Analysis/Engineering Services to Cabezas Engineering, PLLC; and
be it further
Resolved, that the Town Supervisor is authorized to execute such contract subject to approval of the final contract documents by the Town Engineer and Attorney for the Town.
