TB Resolution 2024 -69: Adoption of “AlocallawamendingChapter1 oftheTown ofIthacaCode, titled “General Provisions,” to update procedurescontained in Article 1 regarding the Code
Whereas the Town Clerk has recommended changes to Chapter 1 of the Town of Ithaca Code, titled “General Provisions” to update procedures contained therein, and
Whereas, the Town Boardreviewed the draft changes and set a public hearing for July 8, 2024, and
Whereas, said public hearing was duly advertised, posted and held on said date and time and all parties in attendance had the opportunity to speak on behalf of or in opposition to the
proposed local law, and
Whereas, pursuant to the New York State Environmental Quality Review Act (“SEQRA”) and its implementing regulations at 6 NYCRR Part 617, adoption of said local law is aType II Action
under Part 617.5 (c)(26) “routine or continuing agency administration and management, not including new programs or major reordering of priorities that may affect the environment”; and
Part 617.5 (c)(33) “adoption of regulations, policies, procedures and local legislative decisions in connection with any action on this list,” and not subject to review under SEQRA,
and
Whereas, the Town Board finds it is in the best interest of the Town and its citizens to adopt the local law, now, therefore, be it
Resolved, that the Town Board hereby adopts said Local Law 4 of 2024, entitled“AlocallawamendingChapter1 oftheTown ofIthacaCode, titled “General Provisions, to update procedures contained
in Article 1 regarding the Code.”
