TBResolution2024 -130: SetaPublicHearingRegardingaProposedFireContractwiththeCityofIthacaforFireProtectionandEmergencyServicesforPartoftheTownofIthacaFireProtection District, and for
the Approval of Related Capital Projects
Whereas,theTownofIthaca,onbehalfoftheTownFireProtectionDistrict,hasnegotiatedafire contractwiththeCityofIthacafortheprovisionoffireprotectionservicesandemergencyservices invirtuallyalloftheTownexceptfortheVillageofCayugaHeightsandthenortheastportionofthe
Town pursuant to Town Law § 184; and
Whereas,TownLaw§184requiresapublichearingbeheldontheproposedcontract, and
Whereas, Section 7 of the current contract requires the City to inform the Town of proposed capital projects in excess of $100,000, as such projects, and aggregate capital expenditures
per annum in excess of $200,000 are subject to Town approval; now, therefore be it
Resolved,thattheIthacaTownBoardwillholdapublichearingattheTownHall,215NorthTioga Street,Ithaca,NewYork,onthe30thdayofDecember2024,beginningat11:00 a.m.forthepurpose of considering the
proposed fire contract and related capital projects; and it is further
