HomeMy WebLinkAboutTB 2025-036 SEQR resol Saponi Park Alientation and RelocationMEETING OF THE ITHACA TOWN BOARD April 14, 2025 TB Resolution 2025 – 036: SEQR: Saponi Park Alienation and Relocation Whereas, the action is the alienation of the Town’s existing Saponi Park located on Seven Mile Drive and the acceptance of substitute parkland approximately 1,100 feet to the north, currently owned by Eddy Hill Inc.; and Whereas, the Town consulted the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation on February 27, 2025 and March 11, 2025 relative to any potential authorizations required for alienation of Saponi Park; and Whereas, this is an Unlisted Action for which the Town of Ithaca Town Board is acting in an uncoordinated environmental review with respect to this action; and Whereas, the Town Board, at a meeting held on April 14, 2025, has reviewed, and accepted as adequate the Short Environmental Assessment Form, Parts 1-3 for this action, prepared by Town Planning staff; now, therefore be it Resolved, that the Town of Ithaca Town Board hereby makes a negative determination of environmental significance in accordance with Article 8 of the Environmental Conservation Law and 6 NYCRR Part 617 New York State Environmental Quality Review, for the above referenced action as proposed, based on the information in the EAF Part 1 and for the reasons set forth in the EAF Parts 2 and 3, and, therefore, a Draft Environmental Impact Statement will not be required.
