'4.' . ,:. -..fi r TOWN OF ITHACA PLANNING DEPARTMENT MEMORANDUM TO: KRISTI RICE FROM: JON KANTER I T RE: LINDERMAN CREEK SIGN LIGHTING DATE: JAN. 12, 2000 The revised proposal for sign lighting, as described in the attached FAX memo from Home Properties, dated 1/12/2000, and on the accompanying detail sheet, indicating two 60 or 70 watt metal halide floodlights, one to light each side of the proposed property sign, is appropriate and consistent with the intent of the site plan approved by the Planning Board. I am glad to see that Home Properties has changed its proposed floodlight fixture to a metal halide type. Although metal halide may be somewhat more expensive to maintain than high pressure sodium or mercury vapor because of the potentially shorter bulb life, metal halide produces a warm white light that is more aesthetically pleasing. This should provide appropriate lighting for the property sign. Please let me know if you have any questions on the above.
