TOWN OF ITHACA LOCAL LAW NO. 7 OF THE YEAR 2014
A Local Law Amending Chapter 228 of the Town of Ithaca Code, Entitled “Stormwater
Management and Erosion and Sediment Control” to Add the Words “or Certificate of
Compliance” after the Words “Certificate of Occupancy”
Be it enacted by the Town Board of the Town of Ithaca as follows:
Section 1. Chapter 228 (Stormwater Management and Erosion and Sediment
Control), Sections 11 (Maintenance, inspection, and repair of stormwater management practices)
and 15 (Enforcement; penalties for offenses) of the Town of Ithaca Code are hereby amended as
follows:
(1) Section 228-11.D, entitled “Stormwater management practices operation and
maintenance agreements”, and Section 228-15.E, entitled “Withholding of issuance of
building permit, certificate of occupancy, or inspections”, are amended by adding the
words “or certificate of compliance” after every occurrence of the words “certificate of
occupancy.”
Section 2. If any provision of this local law is found invalid by any court of
competent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect any other provisions of this local law,
which shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 3. This local law shall take effect immediately upon its filing with the New
York Secretary of State.
