TOWN OF ITHACA LOCAL LAW NO. 9 OF THE YEAR 2014
A Local Law amending Chapter 270 of the Town of Ithaca Code, Entitled “Zoning” to Add
the Words “or Certificate of Compliance” after the Words “Certificate of Occupancy”
Be it enacted by the Town Board of the Town of Ithaca as follows:
Section 1. Chapter 270 (Zoning), Sections 183 (Site plan required prior to building
permit or certificate of occupancy), 185 (Procedure), 186 Site Plan requirements), 193
(Completion of improvements), 196 (Requirement preceding issuance of building permit or
certificate of occupancy), 219 (Telecommunications facilities), 227 (Parking facilities), 228
(Approval of County Health Department), 234 (Certificate of occupancy), 235 Zoning Board of
Appeals), and 238 (Entry and inspection) of the Town of Ithaca Code are hereby amended as
follows:
(1) Sections 270-183, 185.A, 186.C(3), 193, 196, 219.O(6)(b), 227.A(3)(c), 228, 234, 235.E,
and 238 are amended by adding the words “or certificate of compliance” after every
occurrence of the words “certificate of occupancy.”
Section 2. If any provision of this local law is found invalid by any court of
competent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect any other provisions of this local law,
which shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 3. This local law shall take effect immediately upon its filing with the New
York Secretary of State.
