LOCAL LAW NO. 11 OF THE YEAR 2014
Local Law Amending Chapter 271 of the Town of Ithaca Code, Entitled “Zoning: Special
Land Use Districts” to Allow Seasonal Camping Facilities at the La Tourelle Resort
Be it enacted b y the Town Board of the Town of Ithaca as follows:
Section 1. Chapter 271, Section 271-3 of the Town of Ithaca Code, entitled “Planned
Development Zone No. 1”, is hereby amended as follows:
(1) Section 271-3B(3) is amended by adding a new subparagraph (e) reading as
follows:
“(e) Seasonal Camping Facilities, as defined and limited in Section 271-
3B(5)(a)[7] below.”
(2) Section 271-3B(5)(a) is amended by adding a new subparagraph [7] reading as
follows:
“[7] Seasonal Camping Facilities consisting of:
[a] No more than 25 seasonal luxury tents for overnight lodging;
[b] Related commons lobby tent (one tent up to 30’ x 32’), bathroom
and shower facilities, fire circle, hot tub, office space, and grills;
[c] Other facilities related to the seasonal camping activities
authorized above.”
Section 3. If an y provision of this local law is found invalid by an y court of
competent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect an y other provisions of this local law,
which shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 4. This local law shall take effect immediately upon its filing with the New
York Secretary of State.
